The cookie we use

PHPSESSID
A session cookie that protects the contact form from forged submissions and shows you whether your message was sent. It holds a random ID only, is never used for tracking, and is deleted when you close your browser.

Because this cookie is strictly necessary for the site to work securely, UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) doesn’t require us to ask for consent first, which is why there’s no cookie banner.

Your theme choice

If you pick light or dark mode with the switch in the header, your choice is saved in your browser’s localStorage (as stux_theme) so the site remembers it. It isn’t a cookie, is never sent to our servers, and you can clear it any time from your browser’s site data settings. If you never use the switch, nothing is stored and the site simply follows your device’s setting.

Network and security cookies

Our network and security provider may set a short-lived, strictly necessary cookie when it needs to check that a visitor is human, for example during an attack. These cookies are used only for security.

What we don’t use

No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no social media pixels, and no third-party tracking of any kind.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie, the site still works, but the contact form won’t be able to send your message.
